Congratulations to Our Students!!

This weekend was joyous!  8 months of hard work came to its culmination when we held "graduation ceremonies" for both our Spanish literacy classes and our English classes.
yooohoo!  Students & their families celebrate!

Friday was our English Class Ceremony.  Families were invited and we had pop, cookies, oranges, & traditional Nica bread to enjoy while everyone chatted.  Tedd began the ceremony with a little speech and then the children's class sang "Head, Shoulders, Knees, & Toes" (their favorite) for their parents, followed by some basic English conversations that they acted out.

After that, the adult class sang "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands," and also acted out some intermediate English conversations.  Everyone did a great job and the families were very proud.
We ended by handing out certificates and taking lots of photos.  It was a great night hanging out with our students and their families, and we felt such a sense of accomplishment and relief having finished the classes...whew!

the kids all took turns with Annabelle & her cool trick where she waits to eat the food until you say "okay!"  (Annabelle sure didn't mind performing over and over)

 proud students who finished strong
