Devo Olive Oil

Every year, after Thanksgiving Day, "the girls" go shopping in Branson, Missouri while "the boys" stay back and hunt at the cabin.  (We like to say that we're hunting too, since we're hunting for great deals).

Anyway, it was an untraditional Thanksgiving this year to be honest because my Papa Jack got sick on Thanksgiving Day and had to go to the hospital (long story), but we still have so much to be thankful for, and continue to thank God in all circumstances.  As a result, however, Grammy wasn't able to join us for our traditional girls' weekend in Branson this year, so it was just my Mom, my friend Heather, and I.  We still had a wonderful time, but it wasn't the same!

So I told you a bit about how I did some first-time maternity clothes shopping and baby clothes shopping.  We found lots of great deals for Christmas gifts and saw some fun stuff - a favorite being a hip new store in Branson's new mall "The Landing," called Devo Olive Oil.
When we came in, there were rows and rows of these barrels full of balsamic vinegars, flavored olive oils, and exotic oils.  Each barrel has a spigot so you can go around taste-testing the different flavors.  It was so much fun and the oils and balsamic vinegars were delicious!

Some of these flavors were wild!!  Lavender Balsamic?!  Wonderful!

This was our favorite - Cinnamon Pear Balsamic.  I grabbed a couple bottles of this flavor for Christmas gifts.  Imagine all the delicious salads and meals you can make with these kinds of flavors!

You simply pick the flavor you like and choose the size bottle you want, and the nice ladies in the store fill 'em up and heat seal the bottles for you to take with.  The prices go from $11 a bottle and up.
They also have a neat variety of gourmet pastas.  Shown here are: Red Pepper Fettucini, Spinach Linguini, and Egg Angel Hair.  They also have flavors like Garlic-Parsely and Mushroom - mmm.

It was fun!  You can visit them at and if you're ever in Branson or Springfield, check them out!  (Pictures taken by yours truly & Heather Paul)
